Paul Bogle

Paul is the Secretary & Clerk at Anglia Ruskin University (ARU) which has over 30,000 students and 2,500 staff across main campuses in Chelmsford, Cambridge, London and Peterborough together with a number of UK based and international partnerships.  His responsibilities at ARU include supporting the Vice Chancellor as a member of the executive and the Board of Governors in relation to governance and company secretarial matters. He is a Director of a number of companies and joint ventures within ARU’s group structure particularly in relation to UK based Higher Education delivery partners and has lead responsibility for legal and regulatory matters at the University as well as security, risk management and student complaints.

 

ARU is the HE sponsor for STEM Academy in Harlow where he previously served as a member of its governing body. He has over a decade of senior management experience at Canterbury Christ Church University in a similar role during which time he was a Director of a Sponsored Academy. Paul spent 8 years as in house lawyer at Essex County Council and was Secretary to its School Organisation Committee and a legal adviser to over 500 Essex Schools. Before joining ECC he qualified as a Barrister and practised Family Law.
